Can Barack Obama Stand Up to the Hatas?

  1. No, let's not try to understand anything anywhere about anything at all. Let's just blow everything up instead.

    Sigh ...

  2. No Barack Obama Nor Billary can stand up to the Hatas. Only Republican John McCain(who was picked by East Coast Liberals and Independants for us thanks to open Primarys) can stand up to these Hatas. Barack and Billary would probably have a Love feist for those Hata's especially "Hugo Chavez".

  5. jonny, have you ever read what Blogger says about "abuse?"

"We strongly believe in freedom of expression, even if a blog contains unappealing or distasteful content or presents unpopular viewpoints. We realize this may be frustrating, and we regret any inconvenience this may cause you. In cases where contact information for the author is listed on the page, we recommend that you work directly with this person to have the content in question removed or changed.

Here are some examples of content we will not remove unless provided with a court order:

    Personal attacks or alleged defamation
    Parody or satire of individuals
    Distasteful imagery or language
    Political or social commentary"

  7. As good of a point as that might be, iknowhowtospell, I don't think the general point of the comic is "we should bomb first, think later." I think the point of the comic was that even when condemning what Reverend Wright said, Obama seemed to feel he had to excuse it as "well, he was just angry about racism in America" as if this anger justifies the comments. I might get angry at someone but does being angry justify me saying just about any racist or denigrating thing about them? Does any explanation justify the president of Iran announcing that the Holocaust was an imaginary event concocted by the Zionists? I'm not thinking so.

As to whether this is racist or not, jonny, you should take a nice deep breath and think before you speak. The comic artist obviously decided not to draw Barrack Obama, Ahmedinejad, Kim Jong Il, and Hugo Chavez with utterly perfect anatomically correct accuracy but that's not racist. Does the artist choose to exaggerate racial features i.e. dressing Ahmedinejad in a headdress or menacingly exaggerate Kim Jong Il's Asianic eyes? No. Does he draw Barrack Obama speaking in stereotypical black jive/"ebonics"? No. He certainly mocks what Obama said but mocking someone's words isn't racist. As a general rule, if you have to meticulously explain why something is racist, it's not racist; racism is not insidiously subtle, it's pretty dang obvious when it exists. Do make a basic attempt to intelligently criticize it; my apologies to iknowhowtospell for using his soberness to bludgeon another person but his comment is an entirely rational criticism, even if I disagree with him. Again, grasshopper... go and do thou likewise.

  8. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, jonny, this comic falls into either one of the four categories lew specifically mentions or all four at once. Do note that Blogger says that it won't remove content that falls into those categories except with a court order. You don't seem to have anything but narrow-minded moral indignation so the comic stays. SO sorry.

Or the hata G-4-3 cartoons we see all the time?
