Democrat Senate Majority Leader Claims Paying Income Tax "Voluntary."

Try not paying taxes and see just how "voluntary" it is.

It isn't often I disagree with your premise, but Congressman Charlie Rangel has certainly found the tax system voluntary!! ;)

True, Pete. But Reid isn't speaking for himself and other Democrats, he's claiming it is 'voluntary' for us, which certainly isn't true.

Scarey that he is the Senate Majority Leader.

By Reid claiming that his paying his taxes is voluntary simply means that the IRS is breathing down his throat.

The word "voluntary" is not in the IRS vocabulary.

And, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi as well, have not learned, nor will they ever learn, that a closed mouth will gather no feet.

It depends on what the definition of Voluntary, volunteer isssssssss.

PS: A volunteer has a totally different meaning to Dems then to Republicans. Now we
Learn this about Voluntary. Good grief Harry Reid RETIREEEEEEEEE.
Of course the people of Nevada might help Harry out with retirement in 2010.

klatu,
Your first sentence is correct.

You then regress to your typical simplification, which likes to simplify things into no more then 2 sets.
Most of us are capable of thought slightly more complex then that.

The ongoing debate, about the legality of income tax, has not been a partisan debate in the past (or has it?).

No Eileen I regress to Fact.

1. Fact Democrats Love the Income Tax
2. Fact Democrats Love the IRS.
3. Fact a Volunteer in Democrat Circles is a "PAID OCCUPATION".

PS: THE ELIMINATION OF THE IRS AND THE INCOME TAX AND GOING TO A "FAIR TAX" IS LOOKING BETTER.
NEVADA COULD HELP THIS ELIMINATION OF THE INCOME TAX BY GIVING "HARRY REID" AN EARLY RETIREMENT.

HOW BOUGHT IT NEVADA. DO YOUR PART.

So... the definition of "voluntary" is an action that you are personally forced to do, rather than an action we force someone else to do to you?

I'm confused... and apparently so is Mr. Reid.

Apparently Eddie, there are a lot of confused people as they elected these people into power again.

As long as many think they receive a free handout, they will continue to elect these these double speaking dullards.

I said before to never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. Amend that to include the words "in high public offices".

Those large groups in high public offices would include, but not limited to, the U.S. Congress and the States' legislatures.

Even Me and his various and sundry alter egos, real and/or imagined, should be able to comprehend that.
