More Reaction to SCOTUS Decision Spiking Sotomayor

From Rees Lloyd,

Great news in Firefighters case in USSC. The "wise Latina" who is smarter than Thomas Jefferson is reversed. This was an awful case. Because no black could get a grade high enough for promotion, the whole test was thrown out. That is racism. Institutional, governmental racism that we fought against in the
civil rights movement when it impacted on blacks. It is no less despicable when the perpetrators are black and the victims are white.

You are generally correct, Rees, although your wording is a bit awkward; it sounded like you were saying that the people who chose to throw out the test (the perpetrators, in this case) were black while I'm certain that those who made this decision were not all blacks.

The Minnesota Supreme Court has ordered that Democrat Al Franken be certified as the winner of the state's long-running Senate race.

The high court(5-0) rejected a legal challenge from Republican Norm Coleman, whose options for regaining the Senate seat are dwindling.

Justices said Franken is entitled to the election certificate he needs to assume office. With Franken and the usual backing of two independents, Democrats will have a big enough majority to overcome Republican filibuster.

You got that right Cutting Cheese. From here on in, all that happens falls directly into the laps of Democrats. It is all Obomba's fault. ALL of it. Notice they are trying to change things as fast as they can. Any wonders as to why?
