In what has falsely been labeled a “coup,” Hondurans following their constitution and with full approval of their Congress and Supreme Court ousted the sitting president and put him an a plane to Costa Rica.
The Organization of American States, United Nations and even Obama are calling for the return of a wannabe Marxist Dictator who was shredding the Honduran constitution.
Tiny Honduras now stands alone in standing for freedom and democracy.

In years past, deposed dictators would have been shot and the Military would rule the country, often much worse. The Honduran Military, acting under the authority of their Congress and Supreme Court, handed the country over to the Civilian Congress after ousting the president, who installed a legal president to finish the term.
They acted within their law and with the votes of the Congress.
And for following their law to remain a free nation, they are condemned by the free world?
Once again, Obama chooses the wrong side.

This is an example of a country's military doing its full duty to protect its citizens from anything that threatens their freedom and/or safety... and the world cries to high heavens. Sorta exposes the kind of people that reside in the UN, OAS, and our presidency, don't it?
I think it shameful that they are standing alone.
They acted properly and without bloodshed, unlike years past and how despots continue today.

Since this blog -- and the far-right fringe -- incessantly accuses the Obama Administration (along with just about every government institution) of doing just that -- threatening the “freedom and/or safety” of America and its citizens, are you now openly advocating for a military Coup in America if the government doesn’t adhere your political views?
Of course, Lew is already on board with the coup plotters when he wrote on June 21: “Of course, not over night nor without bloodshed, but sooner or later, people grow weary of being dominated by despots. Obama and the socialist democrats would be wise to heed that thought.”
This blog flirts with treason and rebellion nearly everyday, and it now appears as if it’s getting ready to consummate that relationship.
And the coup leaders in Honduras are beginning to put the hammer down. So much for defending freedom -- oh well.

What coup? Even a dullard leftist must realize that the Honduran Supreme Court and Congress voting to oust teh sitting president, who was openly violating the constitution, is not a coup.
But I find it intriguing that you leftist see adherence to a countries constitution as a coup that interferes with your putsch towards communism.

Coup? Who said anything about a Coup in the United States? We are talking about Hondouras.. Where the former President attempted to break with his own constitution and remain in power dispite the fact that the document of his country stated that his time in office was up.

Lets look at it this way.. if President Obama attempts to stay in office past two terms.. He would be in violation of the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution.
Which is EXCATLY what Zelaya has attempted to do to change their constitution to allow him to go beyond their stated one four year term. Their own Supreme Court convinced the military there to push him out.
Because Military troops were used.. you and Obama and many other Progressives are calling it a Coup. But I noticed.. the Interm Hondouran government is calling it just that.. and they want to bring on new Elections.

A military coup in the United States? I think commenters on this blog misunderstand the context in which this may, indeed, occur. It will have nothing to do with far right fringe militia groups. The disaster we are cruising toward is this: A lawless president aided and abetted by a rudderless congress that passes legislation no one has seen or read finally goes to far and a large portion or even a majority of the US population find they can no longer obey the dictates of the central government. The president orders the military to compel compliance and a moment arrives when the president is actually ordering the US military to fire upon American civilians. The military will refuse to to do this, remove the president from office and, by force, require a return to the rule of law and constitutional government. Sounds almost Honduran, does it not?

But your going for alot of what-ifs. Have you seen and indication that President Obama is going to order US Troops to fire on disenters? Its a BIT early in the administration for something like that to happen.
Also.. I know there is alot of opinions on what the military would or would not do on American Citizens in a emergency.
But IF the president ordered the military shoot civilians on the principle that citizens are on-mass refusing government directives.. then I hope the military dose do the right thing...According to their oath to support and defend the constitution..

Well, Miles, if President Obama and his little minions went forward with some sort of plan to abolish the term-limit amendment and then began suspending elections, I would expect the National Guard to have a word with him and then show him the door out of town. But your question is idiotic in the sense that the military stepping in to prevent the central government from undergoing an abrupt shift into open tyranny is the most extreme possible measure to stop the government. In Honduras, unfortunately, there was no other mechanism than the military putting the would-be dictator on a plane and sending him on his merry way. But their actions were clearly an element of their duty to the citizens of their country.
