Texter Into Fountain: Case of Personal Responsibility

You may have heard about the case of the woman who was texting away--head down-- at a mall and took a header into a fountain. Her attorney --that's right, she's already lawyered up--says they will go after the "responsible parties" for accountability in the incident. Since the woman is already being brought up on charges of scamming other people, it looks as if this is just one more scam she has up her sleeve. Look at the tape yourself.

  1. A comment on YouTube mentions that about 0.03 she lifts her left leg and looks almost like she did it deliberately.

Regardless, the ONLY responsible party is her.

Frivolous lawsuit. The attorney that files for her should be disbarred.

  2. You may recall the movie "Heartbreakers" ( Sigourney Weaver, Jennifer Love-Hewitt ) had an almost identical scene.

As a mother/daughter scam-artist team these two never pay for anything! "Mother.., why did you PUSH me!? ( Because when you 'fall' on your own Dear, it just doesn't look 'natural' )"

Now that you mention it Lew, neither does that! Oh well, it's nice to have these pleasant diversions from time to time to take worried minds off our Nation circling the drain? Busted.

  4. M.O.M,

Given I was just about to give up the goods on The Worst Sheriff In America* ( and then decided against it only -days- before the Tucson incident... )

    Ahem... :

Ms. Marrero's "accident" is very much a part of the Social Justice meme. Here she is "working her butt off for next to nothing while the huge [evil] corporation I work for is making bank!"

So she decides to create her OWN little Stimulus ( Porkulus if you prefer? ) Fake accident, fake person. Perhaps the good news is the Left is finally learning their lesson? To date I have no reports of anyone in that camp rushing to her defense?

*Hardly a -week- before the Tucson incident Sheriff Dupnik was being interviewed on a totally seperate matter ( our non-border border 'enforcement' ) and he launches into the Standard Schpiel about "unfunded mandates" NO support from the Feds, he's not to blame etc. etc. ( Well, dude, you've been down there in Law Enforcement for 'how' long? )

But... I thought better of launching a reactionary slam-fest not wanting to appear a knee-jerk whiner AND... In retrospect, I would've at least liked to have gone on record as saying "The guy is a doofus".

  5. Mom,

"And we wonder what is wrong with our country. . ."

Obviously, one definite problem is that we don't build fountains that are deep enough. Oh oops, I guess that isn't quite politically correct, is it?! ;)
