Portland's (Gay) Mayor Still Mute About "Angry Queers" Attack On Portland Church

Portland Mayor Sam Adams still has not privately nor publicly repudiated the hate crime committed by a group calling itself, "Angry Queers" against a SE Portland church. Nine windows at the Mars Hill Church were broken in the wee hours of Tuesday, April 24th.  See posts here and here.

The leader of the Portland church, Pastor Tim Smith, joined me on the program yesterday to give his reaction to the rock throwing attack on the church. I asked him if Sam Adams had reached out to him at all to offer support or promised full prosecution of the criminals. The answer was no. The Q[ueer] Center has helped in the clean up after the nine windows (including expensive stained glass) were damaged by the black-clad vandals.

The attackers later claimed in an email to local news media that they objected to the church's belief in marriage between a man and a woman and how women were treated by the church. (Please read my previous posts here and here  and note how the Occupy/PLOC/Anarchists treat women for a primer on hypocrisy. )

Following the arrest of Mohamad Mohamud, the accused Christmas tree terrorist, Adams held a full blown news conference to urge Portlanders not to attack the Islamic Center of Portland .
No one has ever attacked the mosque even though it is the same one which has produced the Portland 7 and Mo Mo. If you're keeping book that's one mosque, eight convicted or accused terrorists, in nine years. And he came to their defense. But he's said nothing in the defense of a church actually attacked by a "queer" group for taking the stance that marriage is between a man and a woman. Hey Sam, do you know what Islam does to homosexuals? Just asking.

Adams has marched with the anti social Occupiers, has given "The Children" a big thumbs up for skipping school and marching in a May Day protest on Tuesday, and is there for the hand off of every leftist group activity--including the Ru Paul drag show (he skipped a dinner with military brass to do it), but has not come to the defense of Mars Hill Church and repudiated this act of violence.

In leftist parlance, this is a hate crime. It's naked intimidation against someone--a church--exercising their foundational first amendment right to free speech and the free exercise of religion.

...And there are crickets from City Hall.

  1. I can't believe those queers stepped up to help clean up the damage. The nerve.
