May I just say I am appalled that your company advertises with a client as violent and hate filled as the Victoria Taft show on KPAM.
While I am a staunch advocate for free speech, I vote with my dollars. I will not now nor ever spend my money with a company that advertises with racist, fear mongering, hate filled, socially irresponsible and criminal talk show hosts.
Not only does the victoria taft show denounce clean and sustainable products and services, they actually claim spending money at local business is "ruining our economy". She advocates violence against progressives, deregulation of environmental protection laws, fear mongering conspiracy theories, destruction of public infrastructure, voter suppression, degradation of local business development. Her and her listeners promote violence against nearly every group She doesn't agree with from minorities, gay and lesbians, small business owners, transportation advocates, voters rights advocates, cyclists, pedestrians, tourists etc. Her particular hatred of teachers and funding for our local schools is appalling.
Spend your advertising budget where you think your best demographic is just remember, when you advertise on KPAM it's not just conservative talk radio, it's an attack on the Oregon working an middle classes.
Shame on you. I am neither a member of occupy Portland, nor a liar. I have every right to expose you as the danger to this city and the people in it.

Did you even write the above letter? Suggestion: Try thinking for yourself and getting a little more educated about what you spew.

ReplyDeleteI've been following her show for a long time. I can back up every claim I've ever made, yet any time I've called her out my comments are immediately censored, despite never using any obscenity or threats.

I'm sure the sponsor dropped her right away. Of course the fact that you listen makes their advertising worth it.

As someone who "claims" they are working on a Master's there are grammatical errors, run on sentences , and other common 6th grade grammar errors in your letter, which I am sure the sponsor took note of when they read it over a few laughs.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure Nate spends a lot of his money at local marijuana dispensaries and his paying his own way through school.
Maybe if Nate had the opportunity to "invest" a few thousand dollars of his own money in the schools, he might understand why some of us think paying PPS almnost $14,000 a year per kid to fail half of them isn't making Oregon's future better. Or maybe the next time you ride MAX, paying the $10.00 the trip really costs might clue you in on what "sustainability" really means.
I'll give you a chance though....how about you or your cyber doppelganger Eric naming a single instance where Victoria has advocated real violence against any of her fellow citizens? I'm not holding my breath though. : )
Any business is free to advertise with KPAM and Victoria, or not.
ReplyDeleteHowever, if and when I sense that a business takes their advertising cues from the ridiculous remarks of guys like Nate or his breed, that business will never see one nickle of trade with me or anyone who is influenced by my opinion.
Nate, pretend to be intellectual and ever-so-reasonable somewhere else than in the business world. Business is likely to ignore you, and I doubt your ego could take it.
And don't expect any support on this Blog except from the eight guys, who masquerade here as fourteen, who are on your political side.

LOL Victoria! How is Nate's email "dirty tricks"? It's still a free country, and everyone has the right to spend their money where they wish. If he wants to boycott your sponsors he's free to do so, and good for him for letting them know why he's not doing business with them.
