Mitt Romney brought along his markers and board yesterday to explain and lay out for the American people the difference between his Medicare plan and the President's. The differences couldn't be any more startling.
This is quite effective.
I'm sure that there will be those who will mock it. Fine. But when you can simply draw the X's and O'x of your Medicare playbook so that even the folks who live on Hawthorne understand it, then you've done pretty good job.

BTW Where are those tax returns?
ReplyDeleteWith Obama's school records, you know, next to the Rose law firm records. Oh, wait, they're not that nefarious. He told reporters about them yesterday.

At law, if a person in control of evidence refuses to produce the evidence, then the jury is instructed that there is a presumption that the evidence would be against the party failing to produce. It is called the “Missing Evidence” instruction.
ReplyDeleteHi iago and marsden,
ReplyDeleteI know you can't wait to see those tax returns so you can vote for Romney with confidence. I suspect however that Harry Reid's highly placed informant aside, that if Romney had not paid his taxes for the last ten years that the Obama Justice and Treasury departments might be looking into that. So far only crickets from them. If thye aren't sounds like Wesley Snipes might have been racially profiled.
Whatever you feel about the Ryan plan, what is not in doubt is that in 12 years, Medicare goes broke, followed buy Social Security in 2034. Payouts to Social Security outstripped receipts by 178 billion last fiscal year. So how much will you have to raise taxes to make them solvent?
How can I make an informed choice without information? There seems to be more and more "trust me" coming from Romney's campaign, and I simply refuse to do that. I want to see more of his tax history, but he doesn't want to talk about it. He wants to run on his business experience, but doesn't want to talk about it. He says he has a better budget plan than president Obama, but he doesn't want to talk about it. I used to trust the promises of politicians (silly me...), but no more. Tell me what your plan is so that I can fact-check and analyze - and make an INFORMED decision.
ReplyDeleteIt's been 142 days since Mitt Romney was asked to release his tax returns. What is he hiding?
ReplyDeleteMore offshore accounts? Another Swiss Bank account? Even more profits from outsourcing jobs?
Mitt Romney is running for President and voters deserve to know the truth about his finances.
Harry Reid is right.
Hi Mike.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of Commander in Chief will he make if he's too chicken to tell us about tax returns or any plans that he has because he's afraid he'll lose? It's all about winning for Romney at any cost including cheating, lying, double talk and omission of facts. If this guy was your boss would you trust him? Would you go to the mats for him? Or let's put the shoe on the other foot. If you were interviewing him for a job would you hire him based on nothing?
How about that Medicare plan, huh? Oh, that's right, you're still trying to keep it up on Mitt Romney's taxes.
ReplyDeleteOk, how many years does it take? One? Two? Three?
Explain to me in detail why it is important for Mitt Romney to hand over to Democrat operatives more tax returns than he already has divulged. How does one more year make a difference? Details please.
So the American voters are "Democrat operatives." No wonder the Repugs want to suppress the vote.
ReplyDeleteI thought that Mitt Romney had no record of innovation, and merely used tried and true methods of corporate takeover and asset stripping to add to the wealth he inherited. I have to admit that Mitt is more creative than I thought; his whiteboard gag introduced a whole new method to political lying. How thrilling to see him fill in the area that claimed he would make no change in Medicare! A whole new frontier in political duplicity, and he's completely defeated the tried and true method of Romney lie detection. He no longer needs to move his lips.
ReplyDeleteVT, Truth has no effect on lefties. Goes right through without effect of any kind. Look above for excellent examples.
ReplyDeleteThis presents a BIG problem.
When Romney and Ryan win big in November, and the lefties don't notice that they are no longer in charge because it is true, how the heck are we going to get them out?
Guess we are going to have to tell them a lie: that there has been a threat of some kind or a contamination. House them in offices where the phones don't work, and simply ignore them as we move into the actual offices and get to work undoing the damage they did.
Wait, maybe we should connect the fake leftie government's phones to the leftie street urchin phones. We'll HAVE to. Because street urchin lefties will never know the election is over and they lost, because it will be true. So the only way out is to let them continue to listen to the fake leftie government's lies....
This is a nightmare. There is no end to it.
Am I making sense?
The truth? The truth you say? The truth lies in the tax returns that Willard refuses to release. He has nothing to fear except the voters.
ReplyDeleteRomney is not going to release the returns. What all of you fail to realize is that if he releases them he loses the election and in a worse case scenario is indicted.
