Democrat PCP Behind Threats to Conservative Oregonian. "Downfall of Raising a Family in Portland, Oregon."

All she did was send Kevin "The Geek" Kerwin an email telling him how much she liked his sign and his chutzpah. He posted it on his Facebook page:

Hi
I live in West Linn and really love driving by your business. I commend you for being an outspoken Oregon business.
I also commend you for building your business. Especially after Katrina. I was a liberal democrat until I moved to Portland.
I do not stand for progressive democracy. I stand for the USA and am now a registered Republican.
If I ever need computer help...I will come to your business.  Thank you for being a patriot!
Kerwin left the woman's name on the post and the next thing she knew, she received a call from an angry woman who berated her for her political views and who demanded to know where she worked so the bully could come and picket her employer.

Some of the conversation was recorded and her caller ID did the rest. She wrote Kerwin:

503-97*-***4 this is the number on my caller id. she said her name is michelle newman [sic] from LO.
she really scared me by saying she was going to find out where i am and picket because i wrote you a note.

The intimidating bully turned out to be none other than an attorney and a Democrat Party Precinct Committee Person by the name of Michelle Neumann.

The Victoria Taft Show Producer, Eric Peterson, followed up by calling Neumann several times. He tracked her down at her former law firm. He found past articles she had written for Blue Oregon, the "progressive" political website.

The victim recorded part of the call. She would not let me listen to it or record it saying she didn't want any more attention drawn to herself. Here's what she wrote me about it:
Hi
I really appreciate your offer to listen to the tape. My intent was not to stir things up.  My letter was to support Kevin the Geek in a private email. She asked where I worked so that she could picket in front of my business. I told her that I am an at home mom. I fear that she will show up on my doorstep.  I am unnerved that a woman, let alone an attorney, would contact me by first and last name on my home phone number. She told me that I was her neighbor and then harassed me because of my political affiliation.  I need to protect my family from any further harassment. Feel free to discuss this situation on your show but please do not use my name. I have lived in 6 states and 12 cities since 1996. I have never had issues  with politically intolerant people until I moved to Portland. This is the downfall of  raising a family in Portland Oregon.
Sincerely,
What a sad state of affairs. The bullies on the left can't tolerate diversity of thought and will intimidate and threaten you if dare diverge from their received political wisdom. If you don't agree they'll threaten you or break your windows or steal your signs or write snarky and threatening notes.

"This is the downfall of raising a family in Portland, Oregon."

Portland hasn't always been "progressive." It used to be filled with independent blue collar workers who worked in lumber and on the waterfront. When the east coast crowd came in they began killing those jobs even while they pretended to be 'friends of the worker.' Their masters were green. Look up spotted owl. Look at their attempt to shut down industrial activity in Northwest Portland's waterfront. Look at their current attempts to stop coal from even being carried by train through our state for export somewhere else!

They try to stop anything or anyone who fails to sing from their political religion's choir book.

They aren't progressive so much as they are oppressive.

Their party should repudiate this activity now and apologize for the behavior of their adherents. That would be the decent thing to do but don't look for it anytime soon.

Not everyone can put up with this intimidation. Certainly not a mother of small children who just wanted to send a community member a nice note to give him a bit of political courage. Not most people who just want to raise their family and go to work. To those people: you're not alone but you need to start speaking up for yourselves and push back on these bullies. You can't be silent any longer.

You can't be silent when you vote.

If you need a little courage I give you this--but beware--it has some potty talk.

Next: The bully pays a visit to Kerwin.

  1. In spite of the Portland’s pride in its openness, liberal views, and rugged individualism, our city’s politics and culture are commonly abusive to newcomers, particularly those that have conservative views.

“Do as you say and not as you do”, is the Portland political way. This is the liberal playbook. They promote free speech until someone says something that makes them mad or that you do not agree with, and then you go all out to destroy that person.

In areas where everyone thinks alike, no one is thinking.
