| And She's a Purple Shirt for SEIU, The Exchange is Complete |
What it says is that people are dangling the specter of 'free stuff' in exchange for a vote. This is the 2012's version of 'walking around money' they used to dole out in the bad old days. It tells us that a woman who
appears to be a "community organizer" for--wait for it---SEIU, engages in this quid pro quo and thinks it's perfectly alright. It's not. This is the kind of behavior that encourages dependence and reliance on something other than ourselves or our core beliefs for sustenance.
Furthermore at a time when we need to buckle down and save this country and get somebody else in office who knows how to grow the pie instead of redistributing it, we've got this horrible example of 'me first' from a grown adult.
What a shameful example. No, you're right Henry, it isn't 'news,' because news is that which is out of the ordinary. Sadly, this woman's behavior is not. And that's what makes it news.I would never intentionally do anything to impart to my kids that taking is better than doing for myself.

The fact that the progrm increased 429% increase in 3 years is very relavent

The program she's talking about is strictly Obama era - the change from discounted, and surcharge free service, to completely free (if limited) service and a free (low end) phone. No upfront fees, no contract, and free with pay-as-you go upgrades possible.
ReplyDeleteThis program's root extend to years BEFORE Bush; and the FREE FREE FREE aspect, which is in fact used by the telecoms who market it (they do get paid, by surcharges taken from paying customers, essentially a universal phone tax) market it as an Obama program and even call the phones "Obama phones"
