Open Letter to Clackamas County Commissioners

Clackamas County Commissioners,
Voters have once again defied you. And you have ignored them.
People who put their good faith in you have realized that it was more than misplaced, it was stolen, stomped on, chewed up and spit out. Voters were told by Charlotte Lehan that she would help to reduce crime and keep Clackamas County pristine, but her idea of reducing crime and keeping the County pristine was to bulldoze long time businesses she claimed to champion, build low income housing and usher in Crime Met. That's just for starters. She ignored time and again the public will, election results and common sense.

She should be turned out in the November election on broken promises alone, but her feckless treachery, breaking faith with her oath and wholesale abandonment of ethics should secure her place in Oregon's rogues gallery of most corrupt politicians. Look for her to get a Lynn Peterson-esque bail out job when she's defeated in November. She's probably making calls right now to see in what job do to undermine the will of even more voters.

Damon Voter Pamphlet Statement

As for Jamie Damon, she claimed to care about small business. Really? Read her voters pamphlet statement from the May election and prepare for a spit take.  Damon worked feverishly behind the scenes to destroy dozens of small businesses she claimed to care about. She did this to satisfy--not the voters--but her paymasters at Metro and Tri Met. Her abuse of power should see her replaced in November with Tootie Smith. One can only hope.

As one Clackamas County voter put it,
The election will mean the current commissioner's continued disregard for the public will. Every person who signed the fee, UR and rail vote petitions and then voted against the board on them are of no interest to these commissioners. The two running for re-election will remain committed to their anti-voter Portland agenda while concealing all of their track record, allegiances and intentions from voter consideration. 

The new voter pamphlet statements will soon be available online and there will be no mention of any of it by Lehan or Damon.

They are and will be seeking re-election under false impressions they are deliberately distributing.

This concealing & dishonest approach to campaigning makes the notion that these people are or were elected to do what they are doing a total sham.  

Remember this in November. Turn them out. Replace these corrupt apparatchiks.

And when they get their cushy new jobs they sold you out for, hit them with ethics complaints and corruption charges.
