You'll remember Oregonian photog Randy Rasmussen's iconic pic of the woman pepper sprayed by the Portland Police. It happened November 17, 2011 showdown between the Occupy Portland agitators and their planned clash with the Portland Police. Protesters backed cops up against the wall of the Chase Bank in downtown Portland and cops re-took the ground.Protesters' hilarious hijinks included pushing cops, swearing horrible epithets at them at the same time saying, "we're being peaceful!" See the back story on that photo here ).
Now the woman Liz Nichols claims the police "unconstitutionally" used pepper spray to force her to back off.
Sure, sweetie, sure.
Occupy held the parks hostage? You could say that, I suppose, but you could also say that Occupy liberated the parks by making it possible to live there. Hope you'll visit us at City Hall again soon, Victoria. :-) Big party tomorrow at Shemanski; come on down for that too :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Josh,
ReplyDeleteA year sure didn't make you any smarter. The parks were free and open to everyone before you guys showed up. So what can we look forward to tomorrow at Shemanski? Sychronized down twinkles? A swear off to see who can alienate the most members of the 99%? Or how about a mass BA at B of A? I'm sure that your groups has tons of small minded, mean things to do to inflate your own self importance at the expense of others.
Victoria,
ReplyDeleteSay, isn't this all backwards. Good nasal decongestants are expensive today given those expansive government regulations, so shouldn't this chick be paying the city for congestive relief???!
Hi Victoria,
ReplyDeleteActually, this will be a good test of her and Josh's committment to their values. If Liz gets big pay day; will she become a 1%er, keeping it for herself or "share" her wealth with her occupy cohorts. Any thoughts Josh?
Portland's Bull Connor moment could become expensive.
ReplyDeleteThis blog is truly awesome in all aspects.
