The Voters Have Spoken

The voters have spoken.

They've said they want fewer jobs in exchange for ObamaCare;

they have said the jobs lost so far---leaving 23 million unemployed are a reason to reward a President;

they have said that a man who could shed a tear for his campaign staffers, but not for his own Ambassador and three others who died in Benghazi, is a person who can understand their pain;

they have chosen a person who is envious of others' success, narcissistic enough to take credit for it and greedy enough to take more of what others work hard for;

they have retained a man who still can't be honest about his back ground and his friends;

they have elected a man who believes America and its government's relationship to the individual is not exceptional, though this relationship is not replicated anywhere else;

they've given their support to a man who believes he knows the best and highest use of your money but you don't;

they've said being identified as a person of 'color' is more important than being identified as an American;

they've said John Kennedy was wrong when he commanded we should ask 'what we can do for our country;"

they've thrown their lot in with a man who believes it's your neighbor's job to pay your mortgage, your health insurance, your car and your student loans;

they elected a man who said the Constitution is irrelevant if it conflicts with his desire to nationalize two car companies, ignore contract law and give majority ownership to his friends;

they elected a man who gave our tax dollars to companies who then turned around and gave money back to him in campaign contributions;

they elected a man who asked reporters to keep secret a tape that shows him blasting Jews;

they elected a man who didn't tell reporters about an act of war by Iran against our country which occurred four days before the election;

they elected a man who asked reporters to keep secret his plan to gut the military to balance the budget---that he put in the red;

they said they wanted a man who didn't send help to our Ambassador and three others in Benghazi and then lied about it;

they thought nothing of electing a President who blamed a video for Benghazi attacked and then jailed the producer to placate our enemies;

they rehired a guy who told our enemies our plans to leave so they know when to come back;

they gave the President a vote of confidence by electing him after he made a secret deal with Russia on disarming our country;

they thought nothing of re electing a man who promised to refuse to help allies with a defense missile system;

In short, they elected a man they can relate to:
  • one who doesn't know much about our history and fundamental underpinnings,
  • thinks our country and its values are disposable,
  • who take for granted our security and will give up individual freedom because it's easier and
  • have learned American history at the feet of the 'blame America firsters' instead of those who believe this country is exceptional.

I used to start my program with this Ronald Reagan quote,

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

Every Tea Party Patriot now knows that by heart, like they know John 3:16.

Yes, the voters have spoken. They've voted to cede their liberty in hopes this President will take care of it for them. They don't realize once gone, always gone.

Worse, you voted to take our liberty away for your 30 pieces of silver.

You're greedy.

And you're a fool.

  1. Whew -- I was a bit worried after the shellacking we gave conservatives that the tea baggers would come to their senses and at least moderate their vile rhetoric (if not their dogma) at least a little, but thank you, Victoria, for allaying my fears.

    Please don't stop diving headlong into the cesspool of right wing lunacy. Full steam ahead, all hands on deck, guns a-blazing, -- go to the whip hand and drive the GOP even further off the cliff into abject irrelevance. Form that nice, little, hermitically sealed bubble where you and your other right-wing grifters can tell each other it will be all right, next time we'll be REALLY conservative. Yeah, that's the ticket -- that's the trick - forward into the past.

    So, keep it up! Promote that agenda. Tell raped women they're having that baby -- whether they like it or not (after all -- God's blessed them). Fight, fight, fight for your theocratic oligarchy. Browbeat gays into submission. Use your racist dog whistles.

    And get use to losing.

      That you will sell out our freedom so women can still retain the right to murder kill their babies. You and yours are so stupid and vapid that you sold out your freedom because of a difference of OPINION with two Senator wanna be who were not even on your ballot.
      You claim these men told women they must have these babies born of a rape. They didn't. They said all life is blessed by God. People believe in God. It's OK. We don't make you worship our God, but your president certainly wants us to worship as he wishes through ObamaCare.
      Who's heartless: the people who can't seem to love little infants or the people who want to save them? That's on you.
      You suggest my list here is "vile rhetoric." To that I say that the truth hurts. To quote Forest Gump regarding your infantile rantings, "Stupid Is as Stupid Does."
      You believe it's "lunacy" to preach freedom from a larger government. I'll take the "lunacy" of the founding fathers before I'll accept your post modernist, soulless rantings.
      You call conservatives "grifters." Well, I'm not sure what we're wheeling in dealing in that deprives someone else of their ability to make their own way in the world but you're suffering from a case of projection here.
      I want the right and freedom to work and keep most of what I earn.
      You do not.
      If you voted for this man, you have actively voted against it. Oh, yes you did.
      I'd rather go down fighting your selfishness than relent to your belief that I'm here only to serve to your President's constituency groups.

    And what of the rape of the productive sector by the largesse and intrusion of government, impacting those large and small businesses that produce products and the jobs necessary to deliver those products to consumers who are dependent upon them for both their livelihood and survival.

    Tuesday was certainly a victory for those who promote disdain for the contribution of the productive sector that contribute the products that consumers demand. Yet it is certainly a pryyhic victory especially if you expect government to step into that void and produce those products in the absence of private enterprise. What motivation does the private sector have to produce based upon the elevated risk and the adversarial environment fomented by overly intrusive government?

    And David it is nice to hear from you again and for once you are right, the beatings against the private sector will continue, the productive sector will falter yet likely not fail, and yet its morale will ultimately improve upon the rejection/lame duck status and ultimate demise of this Administration.

    My suspicion is that the uncompromising posture of this Administration and the impending economic malaise will hardly be useful in the future for your intransigent views. Enjoy it while you can.

  4. Rachel Maddow lists the huge implications of what an Obama win means…or more precisely, what a Romney loss means in terms of what is not going to happen. There’s some pretty big stuff here and a good reminder of the tragedy that could have been.
    We are not going to have a Supreme Court that will overturn Roe vs. Wade.
    There will be no more Antonin Scalia and Samuel Alioto’s added to this court.
    We are not going to repeal health reform.
    Nobody is going to kill Medicare.
    Nobody is going to make old people in this generation fight it out in the open market for health insurance.
    We are not going to give 20% tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires and expect programs like food stamps and kids health to cover the cost.
    We are not going to make you clear it with your boss if you want to get birth control from your health provider.
    We are not going to redefine rape.
    We are not going to amend the United States Constitution amendment to stop gay people from getting married.
    We are not going to double Guantanamo.
    We are not eliminating the Dept of Energy, the Dept of Education, the Dept of Housing at the Federal level.
    We are not going to spend 2 trillion dollars on the military that the military does not want.
    We are not scaling back on student loans because the new plan is you should borrow money from your parents.
    We are not vetoing the dream act.
    We are not self-deporting.
    We are not letting Detroit go bankrupt.
    We are not starting a trade war with China on inauguration day.
    We are not going to have as President, a man who once led a mob of friends to run down a scared gay kid to hold him down and forcibly cut his hair off with a pair of scissors while that kid cried and screamed for help. And there was no apology, not ever.
    We are not going to have a Secretary of State John Bolton.
    We are not bringing Dick Cheney back.
    We are not going to have a foreign policy shop stocked with the architects of the Iraq war. We are not going to do it.

    I think that's more than you've written in all your other posts put together. Not to mention from such a well respected intellectual as Rachel Maddow.

    The problem for you and your alter egos is how you will deal with the 49% that didn't vote for your guy. Contimue to polarize the country with empty headed hate speech like James or Maddow? I didn't see Maddow address the real issues of unemployment, the deficit, and the debt. What is she or you gonna say to all those you have promised to take care of when the country collapses economically? Will "It's Bush's fault" be enough to provide the health care, housing, and income you've promised them?

    Be nice to hear an honest discussion of reality for all of us; not the wedge issues that effect a statistcal handful like gay marriage, but raise the most passions. How much will you have to raise taxes to cover the 1.3 trillion dollar deficit? Is there anything in the federal budget you can do without?

    Can you speak for yourself or have to check in with Rachel?
