A new childhood sexual abuse against the Boy Scouts of America will be filed Tuesday, Dec 4 in Corvallis, according to Portland attorney Kelly Clark, who often handles such cases against BSA and other youth organizations. The case will involve a Corvallis-area Scout leader and allegations of abuse in the 1980s. This will be the first case against the Boy Scouts since Clark and his firm made a widely publicized release of over 1200 previously secret internal BSA files, known as the 'perversion files' that were central evidence in a 2010 trial.
